Pele's Promise - by Tom Thordarson of THOR ART - This image is about a story I thought of based on the Hawaiian goddess Pele. I imagined some adventurous young rogue that made a sort of pact with Pele. He would promise his devotion to her and monogamous spirit. She, in turn promises to protect him from mortal harm as he frolics in the sea and lives cradled high above Pele’s volcanic creations.
