Candle Light Carver - by Tom Thordarson of THOR ART - This piece is a Monochrome study for what was expanded upon to eventually become "Magik of the Tiki Maker". It focuses on the light sources of candles and the general mood. Many times, I do studies like this that become under-paintings, where color and further details are layered upon. This works as a composition alone and I was encouraged by several collectors to publish these monochrome studies in the earth tones they were created in.

A tribute to the classic series "Hawaii Five-O", Jack Lord gets plenty of lei's placed on the base of his wooden likeness...and with head held proud, a swirling blue Hawaiian wave backdrop suits him perfectly!
